Project description

Aran (pronounced /'ɑrɑn/) is an automated planning framework designed to be used in .NET games developed for the Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system. It also supports other compatible .NET platforms, such as Windows-based PCs, and can be used in common applications.

Author

Abel García Plaza originally developed Aran as his Bachelor Thesis at Carlos III University of Madrid, under the supervision of the Planning and Learning Group professors Daniel Borrajo Millán and Carlos Linares López. Since the Thesis was finished, Abel continues developing it.

Inspiration

This project is inspired by the successful FEAR videogame AI system and based on the research community knowledge base

Road map

As Aran is planned to be used in some Xbox LIVE Community game, a document explaining the system will be writen using that game as example.
