Project Description
This is an example application that uses SQL Server Data Services to store pictures in a 'cloud'.
The 'cloud' in this case is a data storage engine that has no limit on size or scalability. If you use 10MB or 1TB, the performance and availability will be exactly the same.
In order to use this application, you will need to get an account with the Beta.
This project in really just a way to understand how to use SSDS, and all code should just be treated as examples.
Currently it comprises of just a simple WPF Windows application.
I plan the following extra functionality in future:
- Silverlight 2.0 Client
- ASP.NET 3.5 Client
- Mono Client for MacOS/Linux
- Use of services other than SSDS, such as Amazon S3
- 'Switch' to use the REST interface instead of SOAP
