Syntax Highlighting Extension

Description

I would be glad to see support for code formatting and syntax highlighting. MediaWiki has extension for this that uses Beautifier Syntax Highlighting Engine: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Syntax_Highlighting_Extension

In my articles I use c# code format from Manoli.net with produces excellent results for .NET languages: http://www.manoli.net/csharpformat/

Also currently the font for formatted code is bit to small in IE (while it looks good in FireFox).

Thanks,
Szymon

Wow, drewmiller, you read my mind! Thanks, all, for implementing this...

Re-opening because syntax highlighting for the Wiki is not yet available (it's currenty only available in the source code browser). We'll leave this issue open until syntax highlighting is available in both places.

If the CodePlex team are not sure of what the best way to implement a colorizer for this site is, I highly recommend mimicking Vim's regexp-based system.

This option should be inserted in every part of the website where you can insert text (excluded captions).

The possibility of contributing colourers, for those of us using arcane languages, would also be very welcome.

Yes, PLEASE (and don't forget the source browsing)

This applies to the source code page in addition to the wiki.

That would be a great idea especially when you like to check new code within browser

This would be useful for posting wiki entries with HOWTOs on projects that are API based (or HOWTOs on modifying the codebase of a project).

I also vote for this feature. Would greatly improve readability of code samples.
