Hi,
I'm getting the following error upon running StartHere.bat:

DependencyViewControl.cs(118,23): error CS1061: 'Shell32.ShellClass' does not c
ontain a definition for 'ShellExecute' and no extension method 'ShellExecute' a
ccepting a first argument of type 'Shell32.ShellClass' could be found (are you
missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

Can anyone help?

I'm running the DinnerNow 2.5 release (at least I'm trying to ;) ) on an XP SP2 desktop with .NET 3.5 SP1 AND VS2008SP1

It Doesn't help at all. We could have figured out how to navagate the site, if we could get it work. Video of how to install, get it work, and how you are implementing some of the features would have been helpful.

Where is the detailed documentation that explains why the app is what it is? Something that explains the design decisions, code structure, etc. so that a developer can learn from the solution instead of simply saying, "okay, here is how they did it." I'm really hoping there is something out there but can't find anything of the sorts on either site.

sorry but I have finished by error without giving more information.
The Visual Studio is the 2008, runnin over the XP with SP2, and with the .Net framework 3.5 SP1.

I will appreciate any help.

Any chance of gettting some Debug advice for DinnerNow 2.5 using Vista Home Premium

Cannot start the services - the error message is;
Windows cannot find ..\..bin\Services-consolehost\DinnerNow.Hosts.ConsoleHost.exe

any help would be appreciated

I think you are probably running on a Vista machine...

Did you try running the depedency checker from Elevated Command prompt as the last line of your error suggests?

I Used the following link http://informationweek.com/story/showarticle.jhtml?articleID=207801611 option 3, to create a cmd window that runs from elevated command prompt.

I get this error. I have all the frameworks installed.

An Error Occured building the DinnerNow Dependency Checker
The Dependency checker requires the .net framework 2.0 to be installed.
NOTE: You should also run the dependency checker from an Elevated Command Prompt.

I don't understand the important requirement for IIS7.. why is it required? A ton of developers still use Windows XP/Windows 2000/Windows 2003 which can use .NET 3.5. Why isn't there a version which works for IIS5 and 6?

Looks like I actually have the correct file... The code is replica of the code from <http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/144/how-to-setup-ssl-on-iis-7/> For some reason, the script fails on the oIIS.Get("SSLBinding").Create "*", 443, oThumb, "MY" line, because for some reason it could not find the thumbprint.

For some reason the script wont recognize the thumbprint. I finally configured this manually from the link http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/144/how-to-setup-ssl-on-iis-7/#IISManager [under IIS Manager not WMI]... Hope this helps others as well...

I am almost there installing DinnerNow.net on my laptop. I have Windows Vista Home Premium edition.

I am getting an error,

Dear Sirs,

I am experienced .NET programmer. Anyway I can not install DinnerNow. I am try all versions on 2 PCs (vista and vista 2008 server). No any result, always some error.

DinnerNow_v2.0.1 is best I am try (ONLY ONE ERROR, but who know what will be after that :-\ ) and i have a some errors.

I NEED ANY TYPE HELP OF YOU GUYS really.. if you can help my by install or if I must i can pay something someone install any version of DinnerNow.
Or you have any way help people like I advice me how... I am send same email to few developers I see here (not know who can be available actually)

When i run the bat file - start here the checker is ok. all options that need to have on our server is find and they are in green color.

the problem is when i click Build and Configure button.
after some installs i see this error:

When i click any key to conitnue the install window closed. Note: Final exe file in folder pointed to show site on web is not created.

Our server is a full updated from microsoft site. and we have a VS2008 installed.

Can you help us to install this application somehow..
