Hi,
I have a new (eval) install of Server Standard 2008 sp1, Sql 2008 & VS2008 & am attempting to install latest version of DinnerNow.

Preinstall checklist works fine with ticks in all required components. (including sql server 2005 express)

when i select build & configure it looks like he 1st script is red & shows errors. Then there is a white section that says SQL Native Client naed pipes provider could not open a connection to a sql server [53]. This goes on to say that under default settings sql server does not allow remote connections.

ive checked both sql2005 & sql2008 & both have remote connections enabled.

looks like the remainder of the install works fine.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance
I don't understand the important requirement for IIS7.. why is it required? A ton of developers still use Windows XP/Windows 2000/Windows 2003 which can use .NET 3.5. Why isn't there a version which works for IIS5 and 6?
