Sometimes getting following error after integrating with "WCF with EntLib". Any advise on following error?

I see you're missing references to Avanade.PolicyInjection.WcfValidationCallHandler.Design.dll and Avanade.PolicyInjection.WcfValidationCallHandler.dll. Probably because these files don't exist in the EntLib Bin folder.
Copy these files (included in the binary release zip-file) to your Entlib Bin folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Enterprise Library 4.0 - May 2008\Bin)

In ServiceImplementation project, all the files are getting generated with error message in it. Although ServiceContract files are getting generated properly. Screenshots of expanded ServiceImplementation project are attached.

The error is indicating a broken reference (for example to a project or assembly). Could you attach a screenshot of your ServiceImplementation project with all folders (also reference-folder) expanded? Maybe it's unable to find any of the entlib or custom WCF validator assemblies.

I am getting this error in service implementation project. Attached is screenshot when I generate code on servicecontracts design surface.

Ok and what file is showing you "An unexpected exception has occured while generating..."?
<Servicename>.cs or <Servicename>Impl.cs ?

Maybe you can copy the original dll files and text templates of the extension to your servicefactory installation folder again (plz refer to EntLib_Extensions_to_WSSF_VS2008_Installation.doc chapter 1). See if this helps.

I am getting this error while building the solution. In "service implementation\generated code" code file contains "An unexpected exception has occurred while generating code. Check the Error List Window."

I have not moved solution from created location at all.

If I change implementation technology to WCF, then it works fine.

I've seen this error showing up when the project mapping table is broken. You might be referring to a non existing path in the project mapping table.
When exactly did you get this error?

Summary

Not sure what this is. What's the inner exception that's thrown?

Anyway I'd suggest to post this one on the general entlib forum (http://www.codeplex.com/entlib/Thread/List.aspx) since this doesn't seem to be specific to the EntLib extensions to WSSF.

Dear all,

I am facing a problem in using the Microsoft Enterprise Library 3.1 ver while logging the exceptions in our application.(Event Handlers and webparts class Libraries)

The Error Message we are getting in case of class libraries :

The type initializer for Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.ExceptionHandling.ExceptionPolicy' threw an exception.

Note: 1. I have placed the safe control entries in the site's web.config file for the ExceptionHandling dll's that i have referred in the class libraries projects.

2. I have placed the dll's in the BIN folder of the site as well.

3.These dll's are from the path "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Enterprise Library 3.1 - May 2007" which we get after installation of Enterprise Library.

But i am able to log the errors successfully in Asp.Net normal website using the same Microsoft Enterprise Library application blocks as the way i did for the class libraries.

Any help from your side in resolving this issue would be highly useful to proceed further.

EntLib Extensions To WSSF

What is it?
Entlib Extensions to WSSF (Web Service Software Factory) is an extension that enables WSSF to easily integrate with Enterprise Library. This extension allows you to very easily handle cross cutting concerns in WCF services like Validation, Exception Handling and Logging without much programming. The extension accomplishes this by using the policy injection application block of enterprise library.

Why are we releasing this?
For the current version of the .NET Framework, Microsoft is offering the Web Service Software Factory. WSSF is an interesting guidance architecture with a lot of developers interested in it and quite a number of organizations have adopted it. Because Microsoft left out EntLib support for WSSF Avanade thought it wise to share an EntLib extension asset for WSSF.

How does it work?
With this extension extra Enterprise Library policy properties (screenshot) are added to the servicecontract model.
These properties can be used to apply Enterprise Library policies defined in the web.config of your host project.
