Rewrite XmlEncDecryptor.cs and TokenUtility.cs so they use custom configuration section instead of AppSettings.

Using AppSetting is bad practice, because it does not guarantee unique names of configuration values and conflicts with application (or other similarly poorly written components) may occur.

Rated 4 Stars (out of 5) - Good control. Works well. Good mix of simple and functional. The non-ssl ability makes it stand out from others. Couple things: 1) The Source version should have the sample web client with it. 2) Zip build should not have the TFS enabled. 3) Should include some readme.txt and xml documentation in the code.

The token class always checks revocation lists. This breaks test (self signed) certificates.

Right now, the request validation feature of ASP.NET will stop any XML content to be POSTed to page. So when using InfoCards, one must disable programmatically the feature - and then manually check all other data being posted to that page.

Because the hidden field value is being assigned by JavaScript and then read only by control and not directly (if you choose to accept solution I uploaded as patch), we can HTML encode it before POSTing and then decode it when reading back on server side.
Comments: Disabling ValidateRequest is not needed.

Set style of image to "cursor:pointer", so the picture looks 'clickable' (hand cursor, not arrow).

Do not require/allow user to specify hidden field name, it may lead to conflict. Generate it automatically, based on control name, which can guarantee uniqueness.

The selector can throw a number of JavaScript exceptions. Currently they are ignored.

The ASP.NET toolkit contains a nice client side popup - this could be used here too.

Description:
As per our e-mail discussion, I changed the logic of control to better match how well-behaved controls should work from ASP.NET's point of view. Also, the control can now be a validation target for RequiredFieldValidator.
