Documentation should be updated with the registry path that MOSS 2007 uses for registering protocol handlers: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office Server\12.0\Search\Setup\ProtocolHandlers
The current documentation sites SPS 2003 as a prerequisite. This is not the case, the current code base was designed for MOSS 2007.
