The Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine is the core service for storing, processing and securing data. The Database Engine provides controlled access and rapid transaction processing to meet the requirements of the most demanding data consuming applications within your enterprise. The Database Engine also provides rich support for sustaining high availability.

This project contains Engine samples released with Microsoft SQL Server product. Below is the list of these samples. If you are interested in contributing Engine samples, please let us know by posting in the developers' forum.

To download these samples click on the Releases tab (or click here), optionally select another (older) release, then click on the Windows Installer package (MSI file) which matches the architecture of the installation computer.
