I combined the two html gallery views into one (the thumbnails on the side and the big image in the center) and it works fine except I am unable to get the imgGalleryBigView to initialize with the first thumbnail for that page. I can assign it the URL for the spacer.gif in the properties and that sort of works on the first page of multi-page galleries, but if you don't select a thumbnail before paging to the next screen of thumbnails, you get an x for the image. I would like it to initialize the image just as you would clicking on the first thumbnail of that page. I was attempting to do it in the updateviews under the (!IsPostBack) section but I keep getting a null for entry. I'm getting up to speed on dot net, but still a little green. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I dont think this is going to work for me right now because I already loaded and am using the 1.2.0 beta version and there is code written into that that will not be in the stuff you directed me to so it will not generate the pages correctly, if at all. When I copied my web site and tried it I kept getting error messages. If you could help convert these files so they work in 1.2.0 that would be great.

If not does anyone else have any ideas as to how to set role based security?

Actually I figured out that if I just use the same page ID as the parent node it makes it appear to be an unlinked node.

Not exactly sure if this is what you're looking for, but the MWPSK Extensions 1.1.4 has a feature to keep pages from showing up in the navigation bar, but still let them be visible to direct linking. Check it out here:

How do I unlink a site map node. I went to the Web.sitemap file and deleted the URL and Page ID but left the Visible to True. When I went to the page I couldnt see the node at all. The reason I am trying to do this is because there is a path node in between my first and last that has no content, so there is no reason to have a link to it.

For Physicians ---> Employment Opportunities ---> Hospital #1
                              ---> Web Sites of Interest         ---> Hospital #2
                                                                                    ---> Hospital #3
                                                                                    ---> Hospital #4

In the above example, the underlined "Employment Opportunities" does not have a page and no content, so how do I turn the link off to it?

Anyone have any ideas as to what the best way is to identify certian pages that will have access by certain people but not others. If someone has a valid username and password they can access the members only section of our website, but what if I want to parse out whats in the members only section so certian people can see certian pages and other people can see other pages? Is this at all possible?

I have several questions like adding multilingual support to the cms. I looked into how to do this.

After a lot changes it now supports several languages.
Basically a added an extra folder for each countrycode where the getdatafilename has an extra value "Culture".
Also the instance of WebSite has a new argument Culture. This way is the easiest of getting the homepageid to be set when userlanguage change.
The user and roles configfiles still remains outside culturefolders sice these a common config files.

It doesn't has any querystrings like lang=en, instead I provided a new attribute to webpage, eg. "Culture=en-GB". This is sent back to page where we can grab the culturecode.
This is a problem when we are working with in SEO solutions, we can't have two pages that has the same name and send it to searchengines.Only one will be indexed.
But I solved it like adding a culture to the url like, http://www.medio.se/en/default.aspx, and removed the"en" before grabbing the url from the sitemap. I still supports cache for each sitemap. I also had to register each country's sitemap to searchengines. I will build a new sitemapfunction that combines the all.
A negative thing is that I had to set WebSite instance to null each request, since it has to get the culture each time. Maby I solve this later.
I also rebuilt the CustomXmlSitemapProvider.cs so it now return a cultured node. Also the CustomSiteMapDataSource.cs return cultured nodes. All adminpages has to be rebuilt to get a sitemap with correct culture.

How to add new languages?
I list the cultures from web.config from eg. <add key="availableLanguages" value="sv-SE,en-GB,da-DK" />
In website.aspx "Website settings" I list the cultures available and adds them to a list. Now we can select a country and click install. That's all there's to it.
Todo is to add support for adding removing langauges and a activelangauge variable.

There's still one problem, it sometimes lost the culture. I don't really no why. I store the culturecode in a session that checks each request and sets the culture. The problem starts when I click a submenu link and try to change the language.
I will post the solution prebuilt in MyWebPagesStarterKit as soon I solved this issue. Anyone know a good way to change culture and let it keep the country untill next change.

By the way I was thinking of make the cms with multisite support. One cms multiple websites.

Well
basically for what it concern, I don't want to compare anything. Just know when save has been pressed. So it could be a section added as well removed or a text modified. What I want is get out the date of the last change.
Browsing the code it seems there isn't an easy way to get it.

I should implement it for every single custom section or more generically on the base class of custom section. First time I went through this I didn't catch it immediately.

May be I will more lucky next time, but if you have a line code to suggest where to look into, it will be very appreciated.

I understand the subfolder problem.
So i built a subfolder on the server with the name "MyWebPagesStarterKit" and i published in.
There is an exception security like the post Security Exception error of tajuddin.

Another thing :
In HTMLContent edit mode i don't see the preview images and i don't have the submenu.

I'm the first person who have this problem with this starter kit ?

I really want to use this kit because it's a very good site... locally for the moment...
