Created Issue: Set the map zoom to show all the pushpins on the page

Once you add all the push-pins to the map, how to set the map to zoom in as much as possible to show all the pushpins? Thank you!

Commented Issue: Javascript error

When closing the page I get a Javascript error syaing PietschSoftVEMap_PageLoadingHandler not found.

I got the same JS error as blackwater - 'scopingBar_separator' is undefined.
I use map control in MultipleView, I try to add a push pin to the map. it doesn't work.
Has anyone solved this issue?

This version is a complete rewrite of the control to use the ASP.NET AJAX Extensions. This version also supports Virtual Earth v4 only.

Note: There are a number of differences between this release and other previous releases of the control. Therefore, there is no recommended upgrade path from previous versions to this one. If you are upgrading, you'll need to rewrite some code.

This release doesn't have a very full set of features; that is actually the reason it is marked as Alpha.

Requirements:
ASP.NET AJAX Extensions v1.0
ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit (release 10201 Prod or later)

This release supports MS Virtual Earth v3 by default.

It does work with Virtual Earth v4. To enable it to use v4 you just need to set the VEMapJSInclude property of the VEMap object to point to the Virtual Earth v4 JS file (http://dev.virtualearth.net/mapcontrol/v4/mapcontrol.js)

Well good luck with "Simplovation" Chris. I've got to tell you though, I'm a little disappointed.

For months and months we (CodePlex users) have been following PietschSoft.VE, waiting for updates and I'm sure a few did the same as me and donated to support its continued development. Now we find you have been working hard on a new version of the control and are charging $500 for it! It would have been nice if you had come clean earlier about your intentions so we might not have all been waiting patiently for an update... or made donations!

Like I said, good luck with your new project. But I for one won't be purchasing Simplovation.Web.Maps.VE.

Browsers Supported: Internet Explorer and Firefox (I haven't tested in other browsers, but it really should be the same as MS Virtual Earth.)

Feature/Fix Suggestions:
If you have feature suggestion please submit them to the Issue Tracker. If they've already been add, please vote for them. I will use the number of votes a suggestion has to gauge the amount of interest in it. The features/fixes that have the most votes will have a higher probability of getting implemented.

The control is written in C# and there is no VB.NET version available.

When I browse your site Firefox renders perfectly but IE generates a gray blank map with the header still on it. I am currently going through the same problems with IE vs Firefox. Hopefully we can find a fix.

Hi all,

I've been working on a project with Virtual Earth that uses MapCruncher. I was previously doing the work without the PietschSoft software but tried using it and was amazed with the results. Unfortunately, the MapCruncher layers do not seem to work well with the PietschSoft code library. I am basically wondering if anyone else has run into similar issues and if they had any workarounds, references, or any advice towards this development. Thanks in advance.

I have a map set up at http://www.jgibson.com/lvm if you go to this site, it works ok.

i have the domain registered at http://www.LiveVenueMap.com which simply redirects to the above folder.

if you go to http://www.LiveVenueMap.com the map wont appear and i get a Access Denied error.

anyone know why? are microsoft blocking it? it has been getting quite a few hits.

8/9/2007 - I know it's been along time since the last release, but I have been making progress albight it being slowly coming along. I've been pretty busy with work over the last couple months. It's too bad I can't work on PietschSoft.VE Full-Time. :(

5/9/2007 - No, the project isn't dead. I just haven't had much time to work on it the last few weeks. I'm still working on the full Ajax support, and now I also have to rewrite some stuff to change it over to the new way Pushpins, Polylines and Polygons are done in VE5 using Shape layers. So, it may be a little while until the next release, but don't worry the project is still live.
