Thanks. Can we use it for Silverlight 2? but I don't wanna use Javascript or generated Javascript by Script#. Actually, I'm looking for the way how to use Command in Silverlight. I was thinking, maybe, I can use this toolkit for that purpose.

This release contains many breaking changes, but some great improvements in the core of the toolkit:
* Multiple behaviors attached to one UIElement
* Behavior attached on non-named UIElement
* Support of Silverlight NameScopes
* Compacted version now works as expected

This is still not fully stabalized, but there should be no more such big breaking changes in future versions.

Feel free to use it, modify it, send feedback, and communicate on it :)

To rebuild Silverlight Behavior Toolkit, you must use Script# 0.4.5.0 or later ([url:http://projects.nikhilk.net/Projects/ScriptSharp.aspx])

Here is a non-exhaustive list of breaking changes:
* SilverlightControlToolkit namespace has become SBT
** Rebranding issue
** Improve scripts size (both for SBT library and client code)
* Behaviors attaching
** ElementName has become read only accessor
** When creating a behavior, the developper must now give the UIElement itself instead of the element name

Silverlight behaviors toolkit demos

Here are a couple of demos showing different aspects of the Toolkit.
The sources are attached at the bottom of page

Buttons: http://www.simonferquel.net/SLToolkit/Demo01/

These buttons are created using $create(SilverlightControlToolkit.Button ...) syntax. The JS file does not make reference to animations. They are automatically referenced using name conventions. See the xaml file to view how animation are named.

Radio / checkboxes: http://www.simonferquel.net/SLToolkit/Demo02/

This sample show how ToggleButtons can be grouped in ToggleButtonList to make RadioButtonLists and CheckboxLists. It also show how to create and use animation templates.
Note that no animation is defined in the main xaml file. They are grouped in the Templates.zip file and downloaded using the Silverlight Downloader.

Show how to use SLToolkit StackPanel, Grid, FlowPanel and Named values. It also shows how SLToolkit behaviors interact (size changes of a behavior can have an impact to other elements).

Your GenerateName function returns a name only if there is a stack overflow exception. You can just check if findname returns a value

The problem, is that FindName does not return a null value, but throws an exception on failure.
So we use a try / catch block, and return the name in the catch block (which is when the FindName fails).

These behaviors (because they are not controls but only attachable behaviors) target Silverlight 1.0 (using JavaScript).
We use Script# in order to get more productivity and quality than writing JS by hand.
Of course, you do not have to use Script# in your project to use SL Toolkit. You can use the JS file directly.

Project Description
Silverlight Behaviors toolkit provides a way to attach standard rich UI behaviors(layout managers, buttons, radio, checkboxes...) on Silverlight UIElements. This is inspired from the Ajax Control Toolkit, and is made to work with ASP.Net Ajax.

Please understand that this project is still beta, and that code that runs today is suceptible to be broken in next releases.
