I tried to set my own text for FuncyLoad 2.1 but it is incomplete and works only at the beginning. During the upload and after uploading is finished all text are set to theirs defaults.

The screen shot is here. It contains 3 pictures:

1-st picture has been taken before Browse button was clicked. It shows all text customized (Polish languge).

2-nd picture has been taken after selecting a file. It shows that Overall progress has been reverted to its default setting.

3-rd picture has been taken when upload was finisged. It shows all texts set to the defaults. None is customized.

It would be usefull to have properties for two more texts for customization, I mean "Remove" and "SecurityError". The last one is showed if something goes wrong.

The following should limit the file download to 5 :

<piece:Upload ID="Upload1" runat="server" InstantStart="False" LimitFiles="5" onfilereceived="upload_FileReceived"

The problem is that it is showing only 5 files even if the user selects 20 files but when it is uploading, it is uploading the entire 20 files.

Any clue?

I'm having the same problem as AnchorSteam. Everything works good in FF but it won't work in IE. I'm running Flash 10 in both browsers. The error in IE says- Line 2951, Char 2, Error: Unspecified error.
I tried using the CustomSWFPath parameter above but CustomSWFPath is not a valid attribute for Upload. I'm using the DLL from
http://www.codeplex.com/Project/Download/AttachmentDownload.ashx?ProjectName=SharpPieces&WorkItemId=6537&FileAttachmentId=1549

You guys also keep showing the Trigger attribute, but all I have is a UploadTrigger attribute. Am I using the wrong DLL or something??
Do I need to include any other files in my project? All I did was use the DLL from above link from SharpPieces.com.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to use the Upload control and am also only getting a button that says Browse Files and it doesn't do anything when I click on it. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I tried to put it on a test page and it's doing the same thing. I've put my aspx code below.

Problem solved. yes, this works find in VS 2008.

I'm trying to implement this is someone else's code and am being introduced to each nuance, bit by bit.

Why was the CAPTCHA image so tiny? Found this in the stylesheet:

width:8px;
}

Some schwanzlutscher thought this was a good idea.

Does this control work in VS2008?

I'm just showing a tiny little bitmap, maybe about 8 pixels wide. Details:

I got the DLL and the demo app from codeplex - the demo app doesn't run as it shows a fatal build error when compiling: "could not load type 'SharpPieces.DemoApp.UserControls.ReleaseDownload".

I am not sure rather I am supposed to be using AutoPostBack or not with this control; however, I really need its functionality. Right now I have it where when an item is selected it fills in information into another extendedlistbox. The problem right now is when you click an item in the listbox it posts back and then resets itself to selecting the first item in the list. Oddly enough this didn't happen when I declared the items in the aspx page but unfortunately my items will need to be asigned via code.

Here is the code I am using:

In the aspx page

Commented Issue: Need EventValidation on the ExtendedDropDownList

The ExtendedDropDownList needs the SupportsEventValidation attribute added (I tried this in the source and it works as needed), as I want to make sure the user hasn't changed the values in the dropdownlist. Hope that makes sense. I need the same functionality as the current DropDownList.

ExtendedDropDownList extends the standard ASP.NET DropDownList control. My guess is it should inherit also the SupportsEventValidation attribute.
However, if that was missing and you fixed it, we would appreciate if you could drop a patch so that it would be integrated in the main version.

Here is what happens, I have it set to auto upload so when the users closes the file selection window it shows the progress bar moving to upload and then a login popup comes up. If the user clicks cancel on the popup it says upload failed, but if the user enters a username and password (it accepts anything in there, it doesn't seem to be verifying the credentials) and clicks ok, it continues to finish, however the file is nowhere to be found. It does not get uploaded to folder that it is supposed to be save to.
Am I missing some kind of permissions setting here?

I get a read/write error anytime I try and upload anything over 4 MB. I can't find anything in the doc. I tried paying around with LimitSize and MaximumFileSize but I haven't gotten the right combination yet.

The Upload control works great when it's in any file in any of my folders, EXCEPT the /adm folder, which I only allow access to certain users.

If the upload control is included in a file inside /adm, the control displays accordingly. I'm able to choose files I want to upload. When I hit the upload button, the progress bars move... At the end of the upload, I get an error and somehow, the control loads my login.aspx page within itself. The upload NEVER happened even if the control said "Upload Complete".

How do I fix this problem? It works in any folder (including root) but NOT /adm.
