Why Visual Media Studio?
The HD DVD and iHD technology is a large hight level software specification, so it is much easier to have a professional development tool for this software framework than to do it in a text editor.
- Play List support: To control when, which application should run
- WYSIWYG: (What You See Is What You Get). With a WYSIWYG editor for the markup files it's very easy to design the applications.
- Styling and Timing: There is also the ability to build Timing and Styling elements into your applications.
- Syntax Hightlighting: An advanced Script Editor is available too. Automatic event handler creation, syntax hightlighting, and an autocomplete function for the iHD script framework.
Platform requirements
Visual Media Studio needs the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and optionally the Microsoft HD DVD Jumpstart Utily (for debugging HD DVD content). These two components are available for free from Microsoft.
