News Feeds Visual Media Studio Visual Media Studio is a collection of Integrated Development Environments for HD DVD content. It allows to create advanced content. That means you can develop professional applications for HD DVDs. You have got the support of a JScript Engine and a markup format for designing the form. It also creates a few other files, which are necessary to run interactive DVD content. What is HD DVD and iHD? HD DVD is a new generation of DVDs it is a technology, which brings Hight Definition content to the DVD. iHD is a sub technology of HD DVD, it allows to create special things like menus, games, information summaries and all other kinds of applications. In the background could run a movie. You have got access to the internet and a file system too. iHD - Wikipedia HD DVD - Wikipedia Why Visual Media Studio? The HD DVD and iHD technology is a large hight level software specification, so it is much easier to have a professional development tool for this software framework than to do it in a text editor. Play List support: To control when, which application should run WYSIWYG: (What You See Is What You Get). With a WYSIWYG editor for the markup files it's very easy to design the applications. Styling and Timing: There is also the ability to build Timing and Styling elements into your applications. Syntax Hightlighting: An advanced Script Editor is available too. Automatic event handler creation, syntax hightlighting, and an autocomplete function for the iHD script framework. Platform requirements Visual Media Studio needs the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and optionally the Microsoft HD DVD Jumpstart Utily (for debugging HD DVD content). non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free copyright license to reproduce the
software, prepare derivative works of the software and distribute the software
or any derivative works that you create.

(B) Patent Grant- Subject to the terms of this license, including the license
conditions and limitations in section 3, the Licensor grants you a non-exclusive,
worldwide, royalty-free patent license under licensed patents to make, have
made, use, practice, sell, and offer for sale, and/or otherwise dispose of the
software or derivative works of the software.


3. Conditions and Limitations

(A) Reciprocal Grants- Your rights to reproduce and distribute the software (or
any part of the software), or to create and distribute derivative works of the
software, are conditioned on your licensing the software or any larger work you
create under the following terms:

  1. If you distribute the larger work as a series of files, you must grant all
     recipients the copyright and patent licenses in sections 2(A) & 2(B) for
     any file that contains code from the software. You must also provide
     recipients the source code to any such files that contain code from the
     software along with a copy of this license. Any other files which are
     entirely your own work and which do not contain any code from the software
     may be licensed under any terms you choose.

  2. If you distribute the larger work as a single file, then you must grant
     all recipients the rights set out in sections 2(A) & 2(B) for the entire
     larger work. You must also provide recipients the source code to the
