Hi all, great tool.

A little problem, I have checked the box to use the 'ReadOnly' property in one list form column with "Show in Edit-Form". After going to Edit Form I don't see that field(it gets hidden) and I want it to show not to be hidden.

I don't know if I 'm doing something wrong, pls advice.

I thought I could use this tool to enable display of 'ID' of a list item on the Display and View pages. (By default, when you view a list item, the ID is part of the URL but the field is not displayed on the page). But, it didn't work. Did I do it incorrectly? Is there any other way of accomplishing this?
I am using the 2007 version of Project Server/WSP 3.0

Hi. thank you for your comment.

But, it's not a bug.

If you set a column to "ReadOnly" the Sharepoint does not display it in Edit or New - Mode.
The Propertys "Show In Edit Form", "Show In New Form",... are not supported in "ReadOnly" mode.

In one of the next versions i give some hints for that in the application.

LookupColumns which looks in thirdparty datasources (e.g. CreatedBy - Column, datasource: activedirectory), are note correct identified.

Please do not save changes to such a column.

This tool help WSS (V3) or MOSS 2007 users to make settings to web, list and fields which are not possible trough the userinterface.

e.g.: it's possible for every user to make a field only visible in New-Forms dialog.

If you like to create a lookup column who looks in list of other webs follow these steps:

create a new column in your list

type ist lookup
connect to another list of same web

open WSSListConfigurator

use url of the list to connect
select correct list
select your new field

now the WSSListConfigurator recognize that it is a lookup-column and show you the tabpage "Lookup"

select the web you want to connect
select the list
select the field which should be used to display values
click "Update column"

Thats all!

Attach an EventHandler to a list ist very simple.

just run WSSListConfigurator and open the list who needs a handler.
ppen the "EventHandler" - page

select the assembly with your handler by a open-file-dialog
select the class of your assembly
select the type of your handler

click "Add" to attach the handler to your list
