I think it might be compiling wrong because i copied the EXACT code of the hello world tutorial and it didnt work.

and when building solution it gives this error

Don't mean to bump but has anyone fixed it yet in some manner (i have tried uninstalling about alot...then reinstallihng..and registry trawling).

And any ETA on maybe a bug fix patch? Know you guys are bound to be busy over there but just curious.

I finally got it to work without giving me errors, and now my new problem is that intellisense does not work, its not there.

error is in the attached image file, I couldn't copy it out so i took a ss.

Every time i create a new frame and view in designer or even create a tutorial project, i get this error.
Vista 32bit, fresh install of the v2beta on the download page.

Hi,
after adding a background image to the design window I can't se ethe frames properly.
I just see the border lines, but no content detail.

I had the same, but what a previous poster said woked.
Uninstall all versions before installing, then install and it works.
I also had to do a registry trawl because I couldn't remove the first installation.

Try:

SendChatMessage("Hello"..Editbox1:GetText(),"SAY","COMMON","SAY")

You need a colon (:) to access properties and methods.
Also I think methods are case sensitive.

Alright well I have used Addon Studio previously to create addons and it works wonders.

I recently installed the Addon Studio 2.0 Version since I upgraded to Vista and formatted.

Now when I go to create a new project like I used to it all loads up gives me no errors of any kind, but it will not show me the Design window. It shows the color coded syntax for the Lua and XML file but will not show me a design frame anywhere, ive tried looking in windows tab to find it and I cant seem to figure out why. I have installed the Data and Art Pack and copied the UI file into the Schemas folder... Does anyone have an idea as to how I can fix this?

I'm having similar problems... in addition to nertman's recreation description, I can get the same error when starting a new WOWAce addon. As soon as I try to add a Frame item to the solution, I receive the same squish.dll error. When I look in my Event Viewer it indicates that it is missing a dependent assembly Microsoft.VC90.DebugCRT. I applied some Google Sauce to the problem but I was quickly sucked in over my head. Hope you can look at this soon... I'd really like to use this tool.

Bah, I cant seem to edit my post :[ Anyway what needed to do to reproduce the error is below, when creating a wowace or bank addon it doesnt happen

WinXP SP3 --completely up to date
Tried reinstalling twice no go
Tried what "Otakuzoku wrote Aug 9 at 5:35 PM" suggested and still no go

Previously voted, but yeah same thing with me, i tried otakus idea and about 5 full reinstalls....Stupid squishy DLLs.

I get the following error regardless if I create a new project or read an existing 1.0 project. Because of this error im shown the XML code and not the visual designer as expected. =(

Has anyone got any ideas?

Commented Issue: 'Choose Default Environment Settings' dialog always pops up on run

Every time I run the AddOn Studio, the 'Choose Default Environment Settings' dialog prompts my to choose my settings, always stating that this is my 'first time' running it. I've tried migrating previous settings as well as using default settings. I've also tried resetting all settings from 'Import and Export Settings.' Nothing has worked. I do have Visual Studio 2005 installed; that may have something to do with it.
