The Zider Engine is a hybrid 2D/3D platformer/Top down game engine.

Still busy working away on the code but progress is a little slow :( Any way I am still very much focused on getting the infrastructure code fully fleshed out and working. I am considering doing a video blog on my progress but then I remember how much work it can be to edit and tweak the video. What makes it more difficult is that I am not a "talker". That is to say I may only speak a few sentences a week so trying to vocalize the topic points for the engine does not come naturally to me. That, and I cringe anytime I go back and watch a video I have posted on the internet, bleh! Lispy voice, code that does not run what I want it to etc. I also don't feel that the project is really functional enough to warrant a video blog, so I'll have to see how I feel in the coming weeks weather or not I am up to doing it.

Changes are a foot! I have recently started working on this project again. ( I can feel the wow addiction wearing off :P ) I have also found a very promising and interesting way to create maps for the engine! But I'll have more on that latter ...

===================================
The project is currently in the alpha/beta phase, but I have decided to start a CodePlex so that I could reserve the name and so people can download it and use it. I generally will try to release code that is in some kind of working state. So any download should be good to go, for the most part.

Also feel free to use the "Issue Tracker" feature and provide feed back about the zider engine. http://www.codeplex.com/ZiderEngine/WorkItem/List.aspx

You can find more detailed and up to date information at the Created by: X website here
