Latest Project News

  • 19 May 2009: Bit of delay huh? No fanfares this time, keeping it short and sweet. New version is here: May 2009 Weekly Please test and see if it improve text rendering speed and installs better on Windows XP without .net in place.
  • 17 January 2009: Updated the License page to '2009'. Move along, nothing to see here.
  • 15 January 2009: Finally a release! A few less features than I had hoped for this one but sickness and other lives got in the way. Enjoys multiple connections however and (maybe) some more frequent updates! Also, check out the new feature request area at http://amuse.uservoice.com and the new screenshot below. :)
  • 19th November 2008: Another heartbeat update here as work continues. As a teaser though, here is a work in progress Screenshot of the Empty Character Library.
  • 2nd October 2008: Work continues on what will now be the first release of the Beta stage for Amuse. Can't show anything yet as all the new parts still need some assembly but work is progressing. This is more of a post to show the project hasn't died. :)
  • 18th September 2008: Jan 2009 1st Weekly is currently delayed while large amounts of work are on the User Interface to replace the 'Simple' one used during testing.
  • 7th September 2008: Sept 2008 1st Weekly is available for download. Please make sure to uninstall the .net Framework version 3.5 SP1 Beta before you install this release.

Hi!

This is the project site for Amuse, a new MU* Client that is being designed particularly for MUSH and MUCK roleplayers.
We've asked (approximately) 297 billion of them what they would want from a new client and, with the help of about that many cups of tea, we'll see what we can do.

Also, if you're curious about such things, it is an open source project written in C# and XAML for the .net Framework version 3.5 SP1 and the Windows Presentation Foundation.

Get started here:

  1. Find out more at the FAQ.
  2. You can then Download the current release.
  3. Amuse is now on UserVoice! Send your feature requests and vote for others at http://amuse.uservoice.com!
  4. You can also submit bugs to UserVoice or post it to the CodePlex Issue Tracker or vote for the item if it already exists there.
  5. And if you have trouble getting Amuse to work or want to ask something, please Post a Question to the Discussions area.
