It was a commercially available product, but is now being put into Open Source.

New Post: Conference Bridge Module Fix

Hey everyone. This is for anyone who hasn't been able to get the conference calling to work.

I was trying to set it up and couldn't ever get anything to happen. Every time I would dial the number to activate the module, it would just go quiet. So, I got on here and checked out the source code to see if I could figure it out. As it turns out, the conference call module is working. It's just that the sounds that are supposed to play (like enter a conference number and such) aren't there. They need to be in the System sounds directory with all the other files, but instead they are compiled into the module file.

Here's what you need to do:

Download the source code. Go to CallButler Modules, then the Service Plugin Conference Bridge. Under Resources, you should see all of the necessary .snd files for the conference bridge to work. Copy these files into your C:\(Programs)\(Call Butler)\Service\Sounds\System\en directory.

Your conference bridge should now function properly!

Maybe we can get these files included in the sounds directory by default in future releases?

And by the way, thanks for the great open source PBX software!

New Post: "I´m sorry but there seems appears to be a problem reaching this number..."

Just got a callcentric #, configured it and requested customer support to call my number

I however cannot call anything because I get "I´m sorry but there seems appears to be a problem reaching this number..."

TTS fails after several calls

Hi all,

We have a system where customers can call into and order materials.
The call flow is as follows.
1. The call is answered by CallButler and a message is played where the caller is adviced to enter his customer number and finish it with a #.
2. When the # is received we use TTS to announce the number that the caller has entered. If it is correct the user may enter 1 to continue.
3. After that we lookup the customer in our database and announce the delivery adress using TTS, if it is correct the user may enter 1 to continue.
4. Now the customer may enter what to order using the number keys, and after that accept the order and then the call is diconnected.
There are some more options for the user but they are not important for this issue.

Our problem is that TTS fails when we will announce the entered customer no, as describe above #2.
The caller does not hear anything, but can still enter 1 to continue.
It is the same thing when announcing the delivery adress, the caller does not hear it, but can still press 1 to continue.
So it seems that TTS fails for some reason.
The caller can still hear the sound files, ut not TTS. The sound files are ordinary wav files.
The call flow does work so you can proceed with your order, but you can´t hear TTS sound.

In the trace file we can see that TTS fails.
The call is answered at 10:58:44, "Level : Basic, (Line 3) Incoming call from to 201 10.100.203.71".
After that three different sound files are played, and then the customer enters his customer no, 545418, and ends it with #.
CallButler then use TTS to announce the number: "Level : Extended, (Line 3) Speaking '<voice required="Name=Sven">545418</voice>'".
After that it fails, the error mesage is: "ttsLoadPersona Error (Internal unspecified error)".

This problem only occurs when the system has been running for some time, about seven days.
Before that TTS works just fine.
During this time we receive thousands of calls.

The TTS voice is bought from Loquendo, and the voice is male swedish.

The trace(in reverse order):
***10:59:11 - CallButler Service (3300)***

***10:59:11 - CallButler Service (3300)***
~CTTSEngine()

***10:59:11 - CallButler Service (3300)***

***10:59:11 - CallButler Service (3300)***
ttsLoadPersona Error (Internal unspecified error)

***10:59:11 - CallButler Service (3300)***

***10:59:11 - CallButler Service (3300)***
SetObjectToken()

***10:59:11 - CallButler Service (3300)***

***10:59:11 - CallButler Service (3300)***
CTTSEngine()

***10:59:11 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Speaking '<voice required="Name=Sven">545418</voice>'

***10:59:11 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Finished playing sound

***10:59:08 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Playing sound at C:\Program\Babs\Callbutler\Talsvar\6944 third ann.wav

***10:59:05 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Heard a DTMF tone '#' (In Audio)

***10:59:05 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Heard a DTMF tone '8' (In Audio)

***10:59:04 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Heard a DTMF tone '1' (In Audio)

***10:59:03 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Heard a DTMF tone '4' (In Audio)

***10:59:03 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Heard a DTMF tone '5' (In Audio)

***10:59:02 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Heard a DTMF tone '4' (In Audio)

***10:59:02 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Heard a DTMF tone '5' (In Audio)

***10:58:56 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Playing sound at C:\Program\Babs\Callbutler\Talsvar\6944 sec ann.wav

***10:58:55 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Finished playing sound

***10:58:50 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Playing sound at C:\Program\Babs\Callbutler\Talsvar\6944 eleventh ann.wav

***10:58:49 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Finished playing sound

***10:58:45 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Extended, (Line 3) Playing sound at C:\Program\Babs\Callbutler\Talsvar\6944 first ann.wav

***10:58:44 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Basic, (Line 3) Call Connected

***10:58:44 - CallButler Service (3300)***
Level : Basic, (Line 3) Incoming call from to 201 10.100.203.71

For testing purposes I have CallButler setup to run a very simple script to speak text (using a Cepstral voice), then hang up. I am using Windows XP and CallCentral as the VoIP provider. Upon hang up, the caller will sometimes hear a loud static noise. It is intemittent, and may take 10+ calls before occurring, then may occur 5+ times in a row. The duration of the noise sometimes varies. If I insert a delay in the script before the hang up action, then the noise will delay that same time. I have read previous posts where this was occuring for some CallButler users during the call (during hold music, etc.), and that there was a release to hopefully address this (I am running the latest release). I have also tried the various suggestions that pertained to the noise mid-call, but nothing has seemed to help the issue of the noise upon hang up. I am wondering if there is some issue with how CallButler is disconnecting the call, versus how the VoIP provider is expecting it. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

New Post: Intelliphone

Its open source mate, so I doubt there'd be any issue.

Closed Issue: Static Issue

Some Callbutler users randomly experiencing loud static on both inbound & outbound calls.
Comments:
Are people still experiencing this with the new version?

Commented Issue: Static Issue

Some Callbutler users randomly experiencing loud static on both inbound & outbound calls.
Comments: ** Comment from web user: Alphamacaroon **
Are people still experiencing this with the new version?

New Post: Connect PSTN lines using Grandstream GXW-4104

Hi,

I was able to configure CallButler and the GXW-4104 to answer calls.
Below are some images describing what I've done so far.

Configured SIP Server at profile1 to use the ip of the computer where CallButler is running and enabled SIP Registration.

Make sure the configured channel uses the desired profile.

And at CB I created a telephone provider at Phone Number tab, using the SIP User ID, Authenticate ID and Password from the screen above.

That worked, however at CB it shows Registration Error - 408 Request Timeout. Of course I would like to see "Registered", so if someone knows the reason let me know.
Anyways, it's working and know I'm trying to make CB route the outgoing calls to the device. Any tips are welcome!

New Post: Connect PSTN lines using Grandstream GXW-4104

Hello,
