Accelerators for Microsoft Dynamics CRM

CRM Accelerators are a range of add-on solutions developed for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 customers and partners. Each accelerator is available at no cost and will showcase how the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 platform can be configured and extended to broaden marketing, sales and service capabilities. Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers and partners are encouraged to further extend these accelerators to meet their specific business needs.

Each accelerator may consist of the following:
  • Customizations (entities, forms, views)
  • Workflow defintions
  • Business Intelligence elements such as custom reports (.RDL’s)
  • Functional code samples (strictly adhering to SDK guidelines)
  • Documentation for installing, operating, localizing and extending the solution
  • An automated installer

Each accelerator will be fully supported as per any other customization for Microsoft Dynamics CRM that follows SDK guidelines. Additionally, all samples are supplied with full source-code so they can be extended further to meet specific customer requirements. Because of Microsoft Dynamics CRM’s services-based architecture and metadata-driven application capabilities, accelerators can be deployed for both on-demand and on-premise environments.

Through accelerators, customers and partners benefit from new functionality on a more frequent basis, and they can be deployed to their environment quickly and easily.

The list of accelerators is as follows:
  • Analytics
  • eService
  • Event Management
  • Enterprise Search
  • Sales Methodologies
  • Extended Sales Forecasting
  • CRM Notifications
  • Business Productivity

This site will be the key source for consultants, developers and customers to collaborate in this community initiative. Check back in frequently for discussions, updates to solutions, new features and documentation.

There are discussion forums for each accelerator and all community members are encouraged to provide feedback and share their experience and knowledge to make these solutions better for Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers and partners.

This is the beginning of an exciting new program and our objective is to assist all who deploy and use Microsoft Dynamics CRM to maximize that investment!

Hi,

Great, Great, Great. To address a larger audience for these perfect 'tools maybe it is a idea to create a virtual pc environment which is updated after a new accelerator. This would help for our functional consultants and pre-sales who not all have in depth installation knowledge.

Max Beuker

Excellent, like Sharepoint the Templates/Accelerators will give may people extra value .... as for the product you should release a free Express version with limited functionality(like the Business Contact Manager for Outlook), just like WSS (Sharepoint Services), that would really fire up the market

When can we expect the post of the next three accelerators? They were supposed to be posted yesterday (11.21.08).
Thanks, Greg

We are also anxious to take a look at the accelerators that were suppose to be released this past Friday. I would really like to have these before the holiday long weekend. Any word on if that will happen?

I'm holding my breath for several weeks now, in anticipation of the release of the Sales Methodologies-accelerator....
Need it a.s.a.p. for implementing/integrating Miller-Heiman Blue/Green/Gold into CRM4.0 (for big Dynamics CRM implementation @ a global/multinational client)
!!--- Anybody know a (estimated) release date for this accelerator ????---!!
++The only other option(s) I came across so far (how to integrate Miller Heiman's Sales Methology):
- usage of White Springs SAM software >> (anybody any experience with SAM and CRM4 integration ?? )
- complete rebuild /redisgn of all the MH-methology in CRM4.0 >> (anybody done this ?? ....Please share your wisdom...)

Kind regards,
The Riddler

Hi all! Apologies for the delay in responding - a combination of my wedding, travel and pushing hard on closing out the remaining accelerators!

Let me try and address your questions here:
1. Enterprise Search is entering the final stages of QA and should be released before the end of 2008.
2. Sales Methodologies is entering final QA - a quick note for Miller Heiman is that it will outline how to deploy and where customers can get hold of the connector for MSCRM - this connector is built by White Springs and is available for customers who have invested in Miller Heiman methodology and training.
3. Analytics R1 is now out but with plenty more to come in the new year with some more funky data mining and in-depth analytics examples!

Kind regards,
Reuben

Any timeline on the release of the next 2 versions of the Analytics suite ? With CRM 5 already under development, any plans to develop these packages for CRM 5 also?
