Accelerators for Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Each accelerator is available at no cost and will showcase how the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 platform can be configured and extended to broaden marketing, sales and service capabilities. Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers and partners are encouraged to further extend these accelerators to meet their specific business needs. Each accelerator will be fully supported as per any other customization for Microsoft Dynamics CRM that follows SDK guidelines. Additionally, all samples are supplied with full source-code so they can be extended further to meet specific customer requirements.

This is release 2 of 3 for the Analytics Accelerator for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. This release incorporates some bug fixes to the existing dashboards for SQL Server 2005. It also introduces a set of dashboards for SQL Server 2008.

The following future releases are going through final testing and packaging and will be available soon:

R3 delivers more advanced SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) capabilities as well as Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server scorecards

Many customers and partners will be familiar with Analytics Foundation for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 which was a business intelligence feature pack for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0. Analytics Foundation for Dynamics CRM 3.0 included Dashboards, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and a suite of new reports. Analytics Accelerator for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 (R2) expands on this, and is designed to support a range of business intelligence “maturity” levels for customers and partners. The Analytics accelerator has been built to cater for differing business intelligence skill-sets and experience levels.

After installing the Portal integration accelerator, I can't find the "C\InetPub\wwwRoot\CRM" directory.

I think this directory created automatically while installing the accelerator.

Does anyone know what must be wrong ?

Hi,

I was proofing the Portal Integration Accelerator for the last days and had a strange problem with the WebPortal sample page. After installing all necessary files und configurations I got always the error message in the subject, if tried to open one of the pages displaying CRM data. After some debugging and investigation we found the problem. In the solution "\Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0\Accelerators\Portal Integration\R2\PORTAL_RTW_R2.0\Source Code\CRMWebPortal\CRMWebPortal" is the namespace of the CatalogProvider ("Application/Catalog") set to "Fabrikam.Application.Catalog". All other classes in the whole project are in the default namespace "WebToLeadPortal". After removing the namesspace command in all files in the Catalog directrory the Webportals works fine.

Hi guys,

I have custimize the eService portal with some entities but if i logon with a other user from a other company out of CRM, i see all the data in CRM.
I have follow the "eService Architecture Overview" guide to add entities too the portal.

Can some one tell me how i filter at a user or customerid? To showing the correct information of the customer?

thanks Gary but "not dramatically change" is not the same as "guarenteed no changes and will not break anything else"

I'm looking at the feasability of using these accelerators for critical business processes.

I take it that it's a case of "ya does ya download, ya takes yer chances"? (in other words "Caveat emptor"?)

or (considering how much these accellerators are being pushed by Microsoft-employed DynamicsCRM evangelists as well as ISV's) is there a structured testing process to confirm compatability with each released Rollup?

this isn't a flippant question: we've got a case where Rollup7 has broken critical functionality (not an accelerator) that Rollup5 gave us. Our only course of action is raising a ticket with Microsoft to investigate further.

After installing PIA on CRM v4 RU7 without errors, I get this error when I try to finally go to the Register page. I have restarted the server and done an IIS reset. Any ideas?

Together with the PRM accelerator (in the website folder) it is a WebToLead folder. I assume this is what the folder name says, but i haven't seen any documentation on how to deploy this part. Anyone?

I have a question for anyone who has installed/used the Event Accelerator for CRM. We recently installed the event accelerator and all online documentation I've read mentions three key features to the accelerator: Event Planning, Event Attendance, Event Review. A sub-category under Event Planning is Catering. I do not see catering anywhere within the event accelertor. Has anyone used this feature? Where is it?

Rated 1 Stars (out of 5) - Reports for SQL 2005 don't work. Trending reports documented to be included are not, in fact emtpy folders in the SSIS section. This release was very poor, does not function as advertised!
