Since it's a development environment the installing user is domain administrator, same for credentials provided in SN install form.

Anyway, I found what to do step 9 in the source code, so I will follow your advice of configuring it manually :)

Make sure the user you are connecting with is a System Admin account, or one with enough permissions.

If I run into an error with these installers, I typically just manually install it.... import customizations to CRM, register plugins, etc.

during installation of the SN accelerator I'm facing the following error:

No more error details in install log or event log on CRM/SQL Server

Machine configuration: CRM 4.0 Rollup 7, fresh installation, no changes made; SQL Server 2008 SP2 on a separate machine

Both CRM and SQL Server are Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise, 64bit, German edition

Any ideas how to track down the issue?

Hi there,

I installed the PIA and everything is working but there is no login, just a register which creates a lead record.
Step 1 ASP.NET Membership(OPTIONAL) only contains a filed named "Step 1 - Configure ASP.NET Membership.bat" and the content is only this:

After loading up the portal, all i have is Register. No link to login. When i look at the web folders, there no membership folder, or any folder and files that indicates a case editor/viewer or kb editor/viewer as in the previous accelerator.

I'm certain it is missing something in the installer. Can you please check.

I followed the installation video step by step using the CRM VPC (April Image).
I am able to successfully create a web lead and have it appear in CRM.
The issue is when I try and click on the Portal Console I get a page error (attached).
Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Hi,
I've installed the eService and everything works fine except for the eServie Console. It looks as if it is partially complete first of all. The background is all white. On one client I had seen the proper page with a blue background but then after i cleared the client cache i could no longer load it.
I've attached a screenshot.

Hi guys,

I have custimize the eService portal with some entities but if i logon with a other user from a other company out of CRM, i see all the data in CRM.
I have follow the "eService Architecture Overview" guide to add entities too the portal.

Can some one tell me how i filter at a user or customerid? To showing the correct information of the customer?

Hi I'm having this problem as well. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? We are experiencing it in production, but it was not a problem in test. It happens on the CRM Server. I think the issue is that the Javascript crashes so the stylesheet doesn't load for display. The Javascript error is Object Expected Line 82 char 1. I added a test page to the DLL which is compiled in the DLL and uses the stylesheet. It does not have a problem, so it must be one of the 2 js scripts. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hi Guys,

I'm having the same exact problem. RobBoyers' first solution looks like what I need however when i press delete between "id" and "=" and hit "Save & Close" just before the email editor window closes I can see it underlying the wrong part again. When I execute the workflow it still creates the partial link. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?

Unfortunately plugins are not an option and we'd very much prefer if we can solve this without the helper attribute.

This maybe a silly question, but since I'm not a security or IIS expert, I do not know the answer to it. I'm setting up the eService accelerator and do not know if the IIS server for the eService website should be outside or inside the firewall. I know that all the CRM components are to be on the CRM server which is inside. However it appears that the website/portal needs to be on it's own IIS server but inside the firewall and has a link to the company website as it needs access to the CRM and Database servers which are inside the firewall. So it appears that the answer would be inside with high security.

If that is the case how secure will it be and when we setup CRMwebuser then we should have minimal rights in AD and of course in CRM. Having said that what is SPLA authenication and does it play a role in this as I saw another post discussing it, but I'm not sure what it is or how to utilize it, so any information about it is greatly appreciated.
