I would say this has great potential using all of the latest whistles and bells. A great ecommerce solution.

Hi, J, I think some viewers are a bit confused at Asp.net. There is one forum for CFK at asp.net, and of course you have Robs CFK 2.0, Dashcommerce 2.0, Dashcommerce 3.0, CFK 3.0 (this baby) and of course Robs new project asp storefront.

Robs new project of course has it's own forum, but as far as the rest, there needs to be some structure at asp.net Each product should have it's own forum. I can see where there will be confusion between installations, customizing, and of course products (Many may think CFK 3.0 and dashcommerce 3.0 are same!)

Hello brokensabr,
I understand the confusion that you are referring to. Let me see if I can clarify:
1) CSK 2.0 is available here. This is the final release of CSK 2.0 that Rob and I worked on.
2) After that, CSK 2.0 was transferred over the the dashCommerce brand. This forked the CSK code and CSK was no more (it was renamed). DashCommerce continues along its own path.
3) CSK 3.0 was the result of some discussions between Rob and myself. We revived the CSK brand for this effort, but the code base in completely different from the previous CSK 2.0 code base. CSK 3.0 will be sharing the same engine and components as MVC Storefront. However, CSK will continue to use ASP.NET WebForms rather than ASP.NET MVC. We're doing this a) to show that it can be done and b) to make an eCommerce engine available to all developers, regardless of their preference for MVC or WebForms.
Because CSK 3.0 and MVC Storefront are using the same engine, we are combining the support effort into a single forum. We are working on getting the name changed.

I'm trying to figure out the licensing for all these variations. Were all previous versions of the CSK released under the MPL 1.1? dashCommerce core seems to be using the MIT license, and other open source variations on the CSK use GPL...Given there are so many variations under different licenses, can I, for example, use the CSK 2.0 under the MIT license?
