Since most people use Google Reader as the RSS reader anyway. The deails would need to be worked out, such as should downloading mark the items as read?

Put an option on the home page that converts downloaded content to PDF instead of HTML since PDF is faster on most screen readers.

CREATED ISSUE: Add ability to convert images to greyscale

Put a checkbox on the main screen that grants the ability to convert downloaded images to grayscale. Since most ebook readers are greyscale anyway, and image size hurts performance, this will help rendering speeds.

Project Description
* Downloads RSS Feeds to your hard drive
* Downloads images
* Designed to run on a daily basis (gets only new posts since last download)
* Supports RSS and Atom
* Creates a summary page with abstracts for each post
* Can download full content from associated websites if RSS feed only contains an abstract
* Can extract content (strip header and footer) of associated websites using regular expressions
* Writes per-feed customizable HTML via custom CSS ID tags
* Generates a manifest.xml file for the IRex Iliad

Project Description
* Downloads RSS Feeds, including pictures, to your hard drive
* Designed to run on a daily basis (gets only most recent posts)
* Supports RSS and Atom
* Creates a summary page with abstracts of each entry and links to the downloaded full articles (i.e. "Today's News")
* Can download the original post and strip header/footer using regular expressions if the RSS feed is only an abstract
* Everything downloaded is fully CSS customizable
