DeskNotes Project Description

DeskNotes is Windows desktop application for keeping your notes on Windows desktop, like sticky notes from 3M. It helps you to keep your ideas in the place you visit and see the most of the time while sitting in front of your computer. The things which are not for everybody going around your Windows desktop can be hidden or vice versa can be made top most of your windows so you see it even working in some other application window. If DeskNote is time dependent it can have a reminder set up. Simple formatting of each DeskNote is possible. DeskNotes can be:

transparent
have various colors of background
font, style can be changed
bullet lists can be differently indented
URL aware

If you wish you can synchronize particular DeskNote with MS Outlook, insert a timestamp into cursor position with single shortcut or email DeskNote using your default mail client.

When some of the things you noted on your desktop is old, but you want to keep it, you can move it to the Archive and set to different categories. At the end you can print everything.
To keep the track of these only one icon is added to Windows taskbar notification area, this is the central place from which DeskNotes are managed. Windows taskbar will not be polluted by number of DeskNotes windows, they are invisible for taskbar

Version 2.0.4 is the latest DeskNotes available. MS .NET Framework 2.0 is required, it is a part of Windows Vista.
