The DinnerNow.net 3.5 release is an updated version of the DinnerNow application that is compatible with final release of Visual Studio 2008 and the .NET Framework 3.5. This version has been re-architected to simplify the code base and take advantage of new features provided by the .NET Framework 3.5 including:
- LINQ to SQL
- WF/WCF integration
- IIS7 & Windows Activation Services (WAS) hosting for WCF services
- WCF 3.5 Syndication Services
- WCF on the .NET Compact Framework 3.5
The DinnerNow 2.5 release has also been tested for compatible with Windows Vista, Windows Vista SP1, and Windows Server 2008 RTM.
There are several hands-on labs that demonstrate how to use the technologies demonstrated in the DinnerNow sample application. These hands-on labs have been released as part of the Visual Studio 2008 Training Kit available
here.
