Steps to reproduce:
1. Edit work item (i.e. modify description)
2. Disconnect connection to TFS (in my example disable internet connection)
3. Try to save workitem.
4. Exception occures.

Dude! Nice functionality on the "Open..." option - I didn't even realize I had the capability in your tool of viewing and editing the selection of either "all work items" or "all my work items". ...
