Commented Issue: Flickr user not found error

Apologies - having problems adding this issues. . . I'm running WLW build 12.0.1370.345. Flickr4Writer worked at first but now no longer works for my account (Flickr User Not Found error received). I can look up other accounts however. Incidentally my problems seem to have happened around the same time installed the flckr uploader tool. Can the plugin provide some diagnostics to better understand the problem?

I have tried a valid flickr user and a valid e-mail address for that flickr account.

I tried another flickr user account, and it DID work for that one. Perhaps it has something to do with using a Yahoo account linked to flickr

I am seeing some strange behavior. I am using this plugin to place multiple images in my blog.
If I select images and add horizontal and vertical spacing for the selection and then add the photos to the blog everything appears fine.
I then save my draft and continue working on other pages. When I return to the saved draft the spacing has been removed.

Have I found a bug? I love the application but unfortunately I cannot use this plugin with out the spacing option for my drafts.

Sure ... won't be able to look at it until early February but could have a go then. Were there any specifics in the previous request about implementation? (or had you heard / seen elsewhere particularly good implementations?)

Flickr4Writer is really fantastic -- took an already great workflow for WLW and made it that much more invaluable!

One feature I'd love to see, though, is the ability to search Creative Commons-licensed material. Since there's the ability to search all images on Flickr, adding the CC option encourages people to use material that's publicly licensed rather than abuse copyrighted works -- and it's good for CC, too. This would require a little more doing, but the CC data is all accessible in the Flickr API. You would need to give credit to the author, so that would need to be displayed, as well (but could be automated).

Any thought about doing this?

I can also have a go at the code and give it a try myself.

joshholmes has uploaded a patch.

Description:
This is Josh Holmes' patch for work item 12210 - remembering the settings. This required adding readonly properties to the InsertFlickrImageForm as well as initialization code in the constructor, read/write properties to the FlickrContext and logic FlickrContextSource to write out the properties to the context. Also to aid, there were several enumerations added.

It would be fantastic if flickr4writer would remember my last choices (picture size, username, tags, etc...) when I bring it back up - especially when I'm in the same post that I just inserted a picture into.

I'm getting timeouts when it's loading the list of photosets now because I have 345 photosets. Can we increase or disable the timeout? I tried to navigate the code to figure it out but haven't yet...

I can barely write any more picture blogs with this problem. By the way, many of my photosets are private not public, so actually the threshold is much lower than 345 in reality. Also, even if one increases or disables the timeout, the loading time required to download the list of photosets will eventually become very cumbersome unless it is done asynchronously. I suggest that it be done asynchronously or else that it somehow be paged or possibly have an option to only download the name the most recent 50 photosets. That's all my brainstorming for now. :-)

It would be really cool if you could add a form to allow uploading to flickr from within the plug in, that way I could do my blogs, post my pictures and the world would be a better place.
