About GMobileSync

GMobileSync was originally created by RareEdge as a way to synchronize a Windows Mobile 5.0/6.0 device with Google Calendar. Versions 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 were created by Eric Willis. GMobileSync is an open-source project as of version 1.3. Several people have expressed interest in helping out with the development in order to keep GMobileSync feature-full and functional. This is your opportunity to contribute to something that thousands of people use every day!

As of May 1st, 2007, GMobileSync has about 15,000 verified downloads.

Installed today ver 1.3.5. on a HTC Touch with Dual ROM (all German versions)
Here the feedback/issues:
1) When installing the NETCFv2 first, it said: "there is a newer version already installed". Fine!
2) Installing GMobileSync: no problem
3) Starting the app, no problem
4) Trying the "Settings" under "Options": an error message occurred and I had to close the app
5) Restarting and pressing the tab "Credentials" by curiosity, the window for "Settings" opened! Entered the Goggle access data
6) Syncing: no probelms; 2 items from the Google calendar were downloaded and 44 events from my Touch entered into the Google calendar; a few day events had the time fault (4 hours diff.)
7) at the end of the syncing process an error message occurred: "Please report: 'NullReferenceException'"
8) Checking the Google calendar: The entries were there, even the recurring ones! Also the two events from the Google calendar were added onto my Touch. Super!!!
9) Cancelling the two original Google calendar entries (events) on the Google calendar
10) Syncing again, the two entries (events) were cancelled from my Touch, the new 44 Google entries (events) previously uploaded from my Touch onto the Google calendar were now downloaded and entered onto my Touch, i.e. those events were now two times on my Touch
11) Cancelling the double entries on my Touch manually
12) Syncing again: the cancelled entries of my Touch were also cancelled on my Google calendar; except for a few all day events, the Google calendar is empty again
13) Syncing again: Looking for local changes: 44 events are identified, before uploading them then the known error message: "Please report: 'NullReferenceException'"
14) No event transferred to the Google calendar, ergo my Google calendar remains eventually empty!

Just tried both V1.2 and V 1.3.5, and got this error:

Please report this error: "Cannot add a recipient with an empty or null name to a recipient collection." Any ideas on how i can fix? Thanks!
