Unfortunately I was unable to validate the GPX output and Virtual Earth merely drew a wayward-point. I visited the GPX standard homepage and found some possible discrepancies. After updating the code I was now able to validate the GPX file and also see the route on http://www.gpsvisualizer.com - I was still unable to get Virtual Earth to show anything other than a wayward point. I updated the GetGPX by inserting:

gpxXml.WriteAttributeString("xmlns:xsi", "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance");
gpxXml.WriteAttributeString("xmlns", "http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1");
gpxXml.WriteAttributeString("xsi:schemaLocation", "http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1 http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/gpx.xsd");

After the creator attribute is written.

I also changed the text format to UTF-8 instead of unicode, as for some reason the software inserted

encoding="unicodeFFFE"

in the XML file. Hello there, I downloaded the latest change set for this project and try to compile it with Visual Studio. However there were made some changes (deletes to be precise) that breaks the compilation.

Can this be repaired or is this project shelved? Who has a compilable latest version?

The coordinators of the project are not 'contactable'

Thanks for your follow up

Dutchnomad
