CREATED ISSUE: GPX output conformance to standard

Hi,

I have recently downloaded GPS Tracker for Windows Mobile and was very happy with the easy build and deployment, thank you. Unfortunately I was unable to validate the GPX output and Virtual Earth merely drew a wayward-point. I visited the GPX standard homepage and found some possible discrepancies. After updating the code I was now able to validate the GPX file and also see the route on http://www.gpsvisualizer.com - I was still unable to get Virtual Earth to show anything other than a wayward point. I updated the GetGPX by inserting:

gpxXml.WriteAttributeString("xmlns:xsi", "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance");
gpxXml.WriteAttributeString("xmlns", "http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1");
gpxXml.WriteAttributeString("xsi:schemaLocation", "http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1 http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/gpx.xsd");

After the creator attribute is written.

I also changed the text format to UTF-8 instead of unicode, as for some reason the software inserted

encoding="unicodeFFFE"

in the XML file. This last update is in miSaveLocal_Click.

Hello there, I downloaded the latest change set for this project and try to compile it with Visual Studio. However there were made some changes (deletes to be precise) that breaks the compilation.

Can this be repaired or is this project shelved? Who has a compilable latest version?

The coordinators of the project are not 'contactable'

I have Visual Studio 2005 Professional sp1 with NET Compact Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 Redistributable,Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition Developer Software Development Kit,Windows Mobile 6 Standard SDK Refresh,

but when load this project an error occour :

"Error retriving information from user datastore. Platform not found"

Maybe is because this project was made with Team Explorer.

How I can change to load it ?

Client is PDA running Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. Client collects GPS coordinates using internal or external GPS module. GPS data can be send to server using Web Services or upload as text file from web front-end.

1. Client saves coordinates as GPX route. 2. Web service GpsDataStore accepts GPX XML file as data source instead of List. 3. GetTrip handler returns GPX file instead of GeoRssFeed. 4. Server saves trip as GPX route direct to Database as XML data type. 5. ~/UserArea/Default.aspx accepts GPX files. http://www.topografix.com/gpx.asp Comments: Change Set: 9557 Client saves coordinates as GPX XML file.
