Brian,

Thank you for downloading the Free List RollUp Web Part.

There is no install batch file, in order to install execute the setup.exe.

Hi,

I'm looking to follow the manual and perform the install modification of the install batch file but don't see it in the .rar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you go into Site Collection Features and activate the feature.

Jim,

First place I would look is in the Web Part Gallery, if the Web Part was properly installed you should see it listed by the name of: Illustris.WP.FreeListRollUp.webpart
If it is listed, it is a matter of clicking on the New Button and creating your own webpart file for population in the Web Part Gallery.

Otherwise, I would look in the event logs for any problems that might have occurred during the installation.

Steve,

Yes, there is.

Open the Web Part Properties Panel and expand the Illustris node
Click the ViewFields ellipsis builder ( ... )
Add to the text:
<FieldRef Name='List' Hidden='True' />
Click Apply Button
Click OK Button

That will hide the ListName and URL, this also applies to any other List columns that wish to be hidden

Is there a way to hide the URL and List fields and just show the fields I set in the ViewFields Property? I am really only interested in being able to show only those fields I need, and the location fields aren't needed. Thanks

Doug, I've installed the solution in our dev environment but do not see the web part in the list of available web parts when I edit a page in the site. Any ideas where I should check for problems? The install completed without errors.

I get the following message when I try to add the webpart to a page i.e Step 9 on the install document.

CreateChildControls: Feature '9c2ef9dc-f733-432e-be1c-2e79957ea27b' for list template '403' is not installed in this farm. The operation could not be completed.

Please help. I am using this with WSS 3.0 on Windows 2003 Server
