Hardware Abstraction

The Linux Middleware System loads the proper device drivers in order to run the same Microsoft Windows installation in heterogenous hardware’s configuration.

Install syslinux on your Machine (Debian-like: apt-get install syslinux).
Put all the files downloaded from 0.2 release in the same directory.
Run tar -xjvf LiMiddle-installer.tar.bz2
Run "fdisk /dev/sdx" where "sdx" is the pen-drive disk device.
Make the partition table as follow:

/dev/sdx1 Fat32 Remainder
/dev/sdx2 Fat16 20 MB
/dev/sdx3 Ext2 200 MB

Run sudo ./install.sh /dev/sdx

Release Notes
Second stable release. In this release it is possible to execute the LinuxMiddleware from a USB Stick. All the configurations to accomplish it can be done trough a graphical interface or under a shell terminal.

Linux Middleware User Guide

Welcome to Linux Middleware! This guide aims to help you to boot correctly a Windows image. When you starts the Linux Middleware a screen like this will appear.

1. File Chooser - Use it to choose the image that will boot. The image, by default, is mounted on /mnt/images.
2. Network Configuration – Click here to set up the network configuration. You will can choose Static IP or Dynamic IP
3. Boot Selected Image – After setting the network correctly click here to start the image.
4. Quit – Close the Linux Middleware.
