Sharepoint lookup with picker

Created Issue: Custom Field derived from Lookup not showing as List Item ID in SharePoint Designer

I'm not sure if this is an issue with the Custom Field or SharePoint Designer, but i thought i'd raise it here to see if anybody else has attempted to do this?

Using the 'Set a Workflow Variable' select Field Type "List Item ID", then attempt to populate this variable with a Custom Field derived from type "Lookup" / "SPLookupField", and it's not available on the list.

I have not deployed your control yet but had a few questions before I dove in.

1) Does your control support displaying multiple list columns on the Picker dialog window? Meaning, if I had 5 list columns like ID, Title, Make, Model and Year, would the picker display all 5 columns to the user?

2) Does your control support multiple user selections? For example, I need to give my users the ability to select, for example, Acura, Infinity and Porsche. Therefore, 3 values would be stored in the lookup field.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as it will save me a tremendous amount of time!

Hi,
If i select to lookup on a column that only contain info in some elements in the list, the result (if i press search without specifying anything) containes many blank fields.

Is it possible to filter the result to remove blanks and only return elements that have a value in the lookup-field?

I beleive this is the default behavior on Sharepoint's own multi-lookup column.

One more thing:
If i use this on a document library and selects the option to allow miltiple selections, Word 2003 clears all values when document is saved. Single choice is OK.
The standard SharePoint Lookup allows multiple selection as long as the total string not exceeds 255 characters (Word 2003).
I had to revert to the standard lookup on one document library because of this... I would much rather use your lookup!

This works for me. You can use the Picker as sitecolumn inside a contenttype. BUT only autocomplete works, the search "window" fails, if the list isn´t at the same site.

The searchwindow says: "list dosn´t existent"

I have downloaded your custom field, and when I install it directly from your WSP it works great!
But now I wanted to make some changes to your code so I can use it for other reasons.

But when I open your default project and try to compile it, it does not compile the LookupWithPickerFieldEditor because it could not find the LookupFieldEditor.

How comes? Also your project can not find the assembly microsoft.sharepoint.applicationpages... where does this comes from?
