Project Description
Open PLS in WMP allows you to listen to PLS (MP3 Playlist, a.k.a. Shoutcast streams) in Windows Media Player. It's a simple translator that opens PLS files, finds the stream information, and passes it to Window Media Player.

Windows Media Player can open PLS (Shoutcast Playlist) internet radio streams, it just doesn't know it can. This program opens PLS files and forwards the information to Windows Media Player. I've been distributing this program since 2004 and have had more than 100,000 downloads since then (probably many more, since others are free to distribute it as well). You can read more technical information about it in my original weblog post.

Version 2.0 includes bug fixes and improvements by Rajiv Menon to support AAC+ support.
Version 2.1 improves user experience when firewall prevents connection and uses Isolated Storage for logging and settings to run under unpriveleged user accounts.
Version 2.2 adds a minor fix for unix style line endings and adds an option to show the error log (openplsinwmp.exe -log).
Version 2.3 updates dialogs to indicate new website (www.codeplex.com/openplsinwmp), also minor improvements to app icon and install experience.
