Introduction
This project was created to provide an application to manage a personal photo collection. Aside from being a personal photo management solution this project is also here to learn more about designing domain driven applications using Composite WPF. It is a kind of testcase to see what works and what doesn't work with composite wpf.

What's new
  • (2008-10-25) Printing module added. This module provides the service required for printing albums and photos.
  • (2008-10-19) Photoviewer now has a collage view. This allows users to view their album content in a big pile.

Features
  • Possibility to manage multiple albums
  • Import albums from any location into your personal photo library
  • Tag your photos and navigate through the tagcloud
  • Details view with zoom functionality so you can see your photo up-close.
  • Print photos directly from the photo details window or a complete album in one go.

Planned features
The following features are planned for the next version. Although some features have a small chance of being scrapped you can be pretty sure that most of the stuff on this list will be there.
  • Custom theming - Already available in the theming branche
  • Improved editing of photo details.

On the horizon
Some things are cool to have, but either too hard to implement or I simply find them not exciting enough to implement.
It could well be that I decide that is doesn't fit in the current architecture and therefore has to be scrapped.
  • Timeline view. The idea is to show a timeline through which a user can navigate to show photos from a certain period.
  • Presentation mode. Show your pictures on a second monitor or on your TV. Just the pictures, no annoying GUI or anything like that.

Documentation
The documentation is still under construction. The following parts are being filled at the moment.
