UPDATED RELEASE: Web Part WSP for VS 2008 (Jan 14, 2008)

A web part project template for VS 2008 (compiles using the 2.0 framework). Be sure to edit devdeploy.cmd which is the post build command for debug builds. The project will build a WSP in the bin directory, and will call the deploy.cmd on "deploy" target builds.

Jairos, this project has NOTHING to do with the sharepoint solution generator or VS Extensions for WSS. It was actually created as an alternative because those tools kind of suck.

I've been trying to use a site definition created with this tool, but it has been impossible. I've not been able to deploy it. Aparently this is the problem.

An error occurred trying to load the page.
Exception of type 'Microsoft.SharePoint.SoapServer.SoapServerException' was thrown.

I have no idea of what the problem is. I hope somebody can help me.

Dan and Teds Web Part Feature Solution Package (PREVIEW: 4/12/2008) This is a template for a Web Part project including a deployable WSP Solution Pacakge and a WSS Feature for Web Part Gallery entries. For more info, read Dan's blog @ http://daniellarson.spaces.live.com. Put this in My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Templates\ProjectTemplates. DO NOT unzip it to use it as the project template.
