I am unabele to run the source code. After debugging and before execuiting it shows a message box. The message box shows

Microsoft Visual Studio

A project with an Output Type of Class Library cannot be started directly.

In order to debug this project, add an executable project to this solution which references the library project. Set the executable project as the startup project.

Please help me.....

Hi,
I have a question regarding creation of the model files. I want to merge the nbin files or in other words is there any way to create nbin files in incremental way? I have looked through the code and found that the simple merging is not the correct way, it writes the model file in a predefined sequence of different parameters like it first write the type then correction constant, correction parameter and so on..
And Now I have a situation that I have trained 2 sets of model files and want to merge them for better result.
Can anyone give their guidance on it.

Hi,
If this thread is alive then can somebody help me in using SqliteGisModelWriter and SqliteGisModelReader. I am continuously getting following exception:

Unable to load DLL 'SQLite.Interop.DLL': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
From where I can find this dll? or what are the alternate ways to resolve this issue?

I was downloading this project, and think it's very cool. I'd like to help too. For example, I'd like to help the community add functions for (1) IsWord, IsVerb, IsNoun, etc..., and (2) to rebuild an array of words with the appropriate white space. Are there people actively contributing to this project?

Hello,

I'm not sure this is the correct place to post this question, but would appreciate any advice offered. My question concerns a specific use or method to parse a set of, let's call them "blog-type" postings, in an effort to group statistically significant clusters of concepts or similar post categories. The ultimate goal would be to produce a simple report for a C-level director that can convey topics that can be shown to have the most consistent significance from the corpus of blog postings. I have done some preliminary research on appropriate techniques that might help me in my project, but am a bit overwhelmed by the shear number of esoteric techniques that seem to lend themselves to solving problems within this domain. I seem to find that a number of techniques could be used individually such as Bayesian analysis, NLP, Monte Carlo simulation, etc., but no single one that can be utilized for anything close to an 80/20 result. As I said, I am eager to learn, but just have not been exposed to the possibilities.

Hi,

Not sure if this is an issue, but I could not run the test.exe program in .\SQLite.NET\bin directory. The System.Data.SQLite.dll seems not to build right - the System.Data.SQLite.dll taken from SQLite website works properly with this test.exe file.

Second thing I want to ask is: where can I find example(s) of the utilization of SQL translation within SharpNLP? What/How is the NLP model presentation created?

I saw Java OpenNLP supports spanish. I was wondering if your (this) .NET port supports it too. I'd like to join and support this project, but I need it for Spanish and to be specific legal (lawyers) jargon processing.

What do you think? What would be requered?

First, apologies if my questions sound naive or confusing!

In addition, I am not a very good programmer but I have been using C# for creating my own NLP tools. Also, I am an Emacs + console person, so I don't use any Microsoft programming environment. Currently, I use mono under MacOS X.

Now, I would like to use the MaxEnt library for a parsing task. The questions I have are:

1) How can I use the library for parameter estimation first.
2) Is it only the GIS learning algorithm which have been implemented?
3) Then I would like to query my training model during the runtime of my parser. How does one do that?
4) Is there any manual for SharpEntropy, beside the provided source code?
5) I guess, I am asking too much but a few simple examples for the above questions would be very much appreciated!

Create a WordNetEngine by instantiating one of its concrete implementations (there is only 1 currently; the DataFileEngine, which takes a path to the WordNet database files): SharpWordNet.WordNetEngine engine = new SharpWordNet.DataFileEngine(@"C:\Program Files\WordNet\2.1\dict"); Obtain a synset by calling GetSynset or GetSynsets with the method signature that fits your usage. For example: SharpWordNet.Synset[] synsets = engine.GetSynsets(lemma, partOfSpeech); Once you have a Synset object, you can a count of words (the WordCount property) and get each word by using the GetWord() method. You can investigate the synset's relations ("currentSynset" is the Synset object): for (int currentRelation = 0; currentRelation < currentSynset.RelationCount; currentRelation++) { SharpWordNet.Relation relation = currentSynset.GetRelation(currentRelation); if (relation.SynsetRelationType.Name == "Hypernym") { //do something with this hypernym //the related synset is in relation.TargetSynset } } I will try to find the time to write a sample to explain these things further. COMMENTED ISSUE: Hard-coded model path in demos.

When trying to run either ToolsExample or ParseTree demo, an exception occurs: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Projects\DotNet\OpenNLP\OpenNLP\Models\parser\build.nbin'. The model path should not be hardcoded. Please use a configuration file, or just 'models\' so the programs will respect the working directory. Comments: ** Comment from web user: richardn **
