Brent Sutherland is VP Engineering for Healthphone Solutions,

He was previously CTO for Simplhealth and was responsible for the leading the conceptual design of the Health Connection Engine, which was originally developed as part of a Showcase of Health Connectivity, jointly funded by Microsoft and the New Zealand Government, involving six New Zealand health software vendors, including Healthphone Solutions which developed the original concept for such a showcase.

Healthphone Solutions is a worldwide health software company with offices in Auckland, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Singapore and the United States. The company is currently setting up in the UK and Hong Kong offices.

Healthphone's core product suite, Concordia, is for healthcare providers, particularly those delivering some of their services in the community, eg: aged care, hospice, mental health providers and is available on a Software as a Service model. HCE is a key tool in allowing delivery of seamless healthcare by linking Concordia to any other health providers in a specific health ecosystem.
