I'm an avid reader, RPG player, fencer, software developer, and researcher. I have degrees in molecular/cellular biology and computer science. I enjoy modeling real world phenomena via bioinformatic statistics and creating fun electronic devices. I have experience in large-scale software design and development including networking, scripting, database modeling and programmatic access, and algorithm selection and design.
I can speak C++, C, R, Falcon, Python, C#, SQL, HTML, XML, YAML, JSON, Java, some Perl and various shell languages. I do most of my development on UNIX/Linux using the Eclipse development environment or plain vi as well as on Windows platforms using Visual Studio and .NET.
I'm a pretty chill, laid-back sorta guy so don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested in any of the projects that I coordinate.
