personal statement

I've been developing custom SharePoint solutions since SharePoint 2003. My earliest work includes making a student portal for Freed-Hardeman University. The customizations were pretty intense and that's where I learned the majority of my programming and web skills.

From there I moved on to work for Global Secure Systems (now EMS) and make several great products from the WSS 3.0 framework. One product called Hospital Capacity Manager is an excellent product, again with heavy customizations, that was purchased by many States to be used to manage health care resources. Another product is called Situational Awareness Manager, which was born from the idea of helping State level decision makers by displaying visual representations of their health resources during exercises and other events. This is where I learned a lot about how SharePoint is an extremely customizable framework.

I'm now working for Planview, a software company, as a SharePoint Administrator working on a customer facing extranet built on the MOSS platform. I also help manage the company's intranet (WSS 3.0) and hope to migrate to SharePoint 2010 relatively soon.
