personal statement

John Palmer is a leading expert in information technology, who is currently working as a consultant, implementing SharePoint technologies for Fortune 500 companies. He currently writes a blog for technology professionals about mastering the intricacies of SharePoint. Prior to his current consulting work, John served as the Information Technology Manager for a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) spatial technology company, and then later, for an internationally known social network. John successfully built and maintained the infrastructure required to meet the demands of exponential user and traffic growth experienced by these companies.

Prior to that, John was located in San Francisco during the Internet boom. His consulting work helped bring some of the largest Fortune 500 companies into the Internet age, including: Charles Schwab, Wells Fargo Bank, and Gap. He also worked for an educational technology company which piloted and deployed wireless student and teacher laptops to middle schools across the State of Georgia.

John currently holds a number of technical certifications, including two Microsoft Technology Specialist credentials for SharePoint Services 3.0 and SharePoint Server 2007. John is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
