John Gough is Emeritus Professor of Computer Science at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia. He is a previous chair of the IFIP working group WG2.4,
Systems Implementation Technology. He is active in the Microsoft QUT eResearch Centre.
The main QUT campus in Brisbane is sited at Gardens Point in the heart of Brisbane's central business district. The
Gardens Point range of compilers and software tools take their name from this locality.
As well as the software, John is the author several books including
Syntax Analysis and Software Tools, Addison-Wesley, 1988, and
Compiling for the .NET Common Language Runtime, Prentice-Hall, 2002.
