Hi, not too sure if anyone can help me out of this... I've instatlled the server agent on my laptop running Windows XP and also the mobile client... When I run the desktop agent, it tries to connect to my HP iPAQ 512 smartphone running WM6, then it stops there, doesn't connect no matter what. Also, I've noticed a message when it just starting saying ActiveSync is connected or something like that, but somehow the server agent doesn't connect to my phone, it only automatically runs the mobile client for me on my phone, that's all.... Anyone able to help?

i had problems sending messages using sample "SMS via Excel Sheet" and using email on body of messages, for example:

hi tiago send me a email, fabiano@nonono.com
but i received
hi tiago send me a email, fabiano¿nonono.com

the "@" char was changed to "¿" on receive SMS in my cellphone.

i don't know to make to fix this

I installed the SDK on my PC running XP and HTC P3400 Pocket PC. I wrote a simple program to receive the notification for SMS using OnSMSReceived event. When i run the program it starts the SMS Server agent. But on receiving SMS's my application doesn't receive any notification. The event handler is not called. The message comes in the Inbox of SMS Server Agent, but my application doesn't receive any notification. Am i doing something wrong? How do i ensure that my application is notified on receiving messages.

I tried the Hello World sample as well. But, it also won't receive any notification on receiving SMS's.

When I try to install the program with a windows vista, I receive the error message 2869 (even when I run the program as administrator).

It was a research project done by MSR India. But since all the members involved have moved out, any more development is not possible. We are trying to check the possibilities of making it an open source which may take time.

Looks like its not able to find the right SQL file. It would help if you can mail me the directory structure of your installation folder. Please send me this detail on my personal email id. Its hard to post here. I will post the final solution once we figure it out.

i think that i have a wrong version of sql mobile or sql lite.... or anything...
what version should i install?

Dear Gabouy!

The throughput we got during our testing was around 6-7 SMS/minute ( Outgoing) . The toolkit has a queue for about 50-60 SMS to balance the load at peak hrs. We never finished the work on adding more than one smartphone to a single server but did a lot of thinking. I will be happy to discuss those with you.

hello everyone,

i've tried to install the toolkit. when i start a new project in visual studio and try to run it, it says: make sure that SmsDesktopAgent runs or refresh the client list.
well i've located SmsDesktopAgent and tried to launch it manually and got the error: sqlcese30.dll was missing.

so i installed sql mobile 2005

it installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v3.1

it still gave the error, so i copied all the dll's from the directory above to the dir that SmsDesktopAgent is in.
it still doesn't launch and gave me the error below:

does someone have any suggestions please?
