The CQWP Dynamic QueryOverride web part is an extension of the current out-of-the-box (OOB) Content Query Web Part (CQWP). This subclass extension allows the CAML query to support parameter replacement from the page’s query string. This extension enables the web part to filter content dynamically, based on query string parameters. This extension also provides an enhanced UI with the CommonViewFields and QueryOverride properties present in the tool pane. The part was developed by the MSIT Information Services team and is used internally by a number of SharePoint portals.
