Hi,

Awesome work on wrapping the Simile timeline control - you've saved me hours of head-scratching! :)

I was wondering if you could let me know if the following are possible:

How can I get hold of the client-side object - basically when the page the timeline is on is resized I want to call the .layout() function on the timeline (described here - http://simile.mit.edu/timeline/docs/timelines.html) so it resizes correctly.
Is there any method for changing the size of the popup that appears when you click on an event - I'm adding some lengthy HTML to the Event.Description and it would be good if I could make the popup bigger.

CREATED ISSUE: js decimal error

In TimelineNet the decimal character reflects the regional settings of the computer that the application is run on.

It shouldn't do that since javascript always uses period for decimals regardless the system's regional settings.

When running on Danish (and many other) systems the emitted javascript contains comma instead of period, and this causes a javascript error in the browser.

The attached pdf contains screenshots of what I'm trying to describe.

Until fixed, a workaround for the problem is to go to control panel > regional settings and change the decimal character to . (period).

Hello,

Silile project is very interesting and I tried to implement this . I am able to implement it but if I moved it across one of the site and tried to implement it, I am facing several issues. When I am loading the XML file from a site , I am facing loading problems saying " failed to create an XMLHttpRequest object".

To give more clear vision of the issue , I have the html file and XML file , which is working properly from the localhost. I created the same files and copied them to a site and accessed it , I am getting the error mentioned above. From the localhost, if I used the ip address in the place of localhost in the address bar....I am getting the same error

Can you please provide me a solution for this.

Events are displayed correctly in the Day Zone, but seems to be one month behind in the Month Zone Overview band.

Is it possible to hide the month or year zones (two horizontal bands at the bottom of the display) so that only the day zone is displayed?

Supports the showEventText bool on bands (hide or show the event text labels, useful for the summary view of long duration bands). Updated the sample web.config to look just for TimelineData.ashx instead of *.ashx, updated the Timeline control itself to be aware of the application instead of forcing the location of the data url to be root.

For those who live eat and breath DNN like I do I quickly put together a timeline module for dnn. It is limited to RSS feeds right now but can be extended by anyone who has the time.

There is NO module installer (I just dont have the time) so you will need to crack the zip file open and follow the instructions in the README.TXT Folder. Full source for the module and its settings is included in the zip as well.

In this example I show you how to use the named data source to add events onto a timeline. The events which we are adding are images take from a local folder. The sample reads the image EXIF data (metadata within the image itself). It plots each image on the timeline. When you click each event, the bubble displays the full EXIF data along with the thumbnail.
