the window animation during minimizing becomes the same as window closing animation in vista when vdm is running.
it would be better to see the correct animation for minimizing windows.

Hey

First of all; thanks for this program, it´s great.

I would like to use the program to switch between multiple running instances of "Remote Desktop Connection (RDC)" - and I would like them to run in maximized mode.

Unfortunately the maximized RDC catches all key events. At the moment I have to Ctrl+Alt+Break to restore the window then use my Vista virtual desktop (VDM) hotkey to switch desktop.

Do you know of any way to make the VDM hotkeys overrule RDC?

An additional nice feature would be a free arrangement of icons on the particular desktop independent from the others.

Also a feature to make the icons invisible would be nice (for example if you plan a desktop only with post-its on it).

One of Vista's most talked-about new features is the Desktop Window Manager (DWM). A new set of thumbnail API's can be used to access thumbnails of open windows. Commented Issue: Maximized Remote Desktop Connections won't recognize switch commands

I think a pretty common use of this product would be similar to my situation. Make a remote connection to a different machine with Remote Desktop Connection. To switch away from that connection, I either have to restore or minimize the desktop. Is there a way to allow for the WIN+NUMPAD or WIN+ARROW keys to be recognized by VDM even though I'm on another machine (sort of). Hopefully this makes sense.

I'll say this wont happen without mind reading capability, in a way that works 100%. For small exercise figure out a way how the software can decide when to send command to the local machine VDM or to remote machine VDM when both VDM have the same settings ? I have the same profile on multiple hosts that I connect to, also I connect thru multiple hosts (multiple RDP "hops") to some clients.

When Windows Live Messenger is open in a different virtual desktop to the one you have open you don't get any new message alerts.

When you switch to another desktop the Taskbar only shows applications running on that desktop. I would like to be able to see all applications, regardless of which desktop they are on. I would also like the ability to move to the desktop that the application is on by clicking on it in the taskbar rather than moving it to the current desktop.

This usually comes up when I try to launch a program that is already running on another desktop and end up with two instances running.

I may have missed how to do this, if so please help. If not consider it a feature request.

I'm looking for a program who works with both 2 monitors and 1 PC.
What I need is that the program which works in the PC will have the power of simulate 2 PC with 2 monitors, so 1 desktop associated to1 monitor and another desktop associated to the other monitor.
