First of all; thanks for this program, it´s great.

I would like to use the program to switch between multiple running instances of "Remote Desktop Connection (RDC)" - and I would like them to run in maximized mode.

Unfortunately the maximized RDC catches all key events. At the moment I have to Ctrl+Alt+Break to restore the window then use my Vista virtual desktop (VDM) hotkey to switch desktop.

Do you know of any way to make the VDM hotkeys overrule RDC?

Thanks Carsten

New Post: Icon Position

An additional nice feature would be a free arrangement of icons on the particular desktop independent from the others.

Introduction
One of Vista's most talked-about new features is the Desktop Window Manager (DWM). A new set of thumbnail API's can be used to access thumbnails of open windows. This virtual desktop program takes advantage of this new API and uses some tricks of its own to provide a powerful virtual desktop manager with a full screen thumbnail based preview. You can have as many desktops as you want and can seamlessly switch between them.

But wait! What if you still are using XP? Don't worry, Vista/XP Virtual Desktops provides support for XP as well, although window previews are not live since XP doesn't have DWM.

Vista Virtual Desktops is managed by Z-Systems, which also manages a few other fine open-source projects.
Make a remote connection to a different machine with Remote Desktop Connection. To switch away from that connection, I either have to restore or minimize the desktop. Is there a way to allow for the WIN+NUMPAD or WIN+ARROW keys to be recognized by VDM even though I'm on another machine (sort of). Hopefully this makes sense.
Comments: ** Comment from web user: mig **
After a good night's sleep, I'm sure you find the idea not so good after all 8-)

I'll say this wont happen without mind reading capability, in a way that works 100%. For small exercise figure out a way how the software can decide when to send command to the local machine VDM or to remote machine VDM when both VDM have the same settings ? I have the same profile on multiple hosts that I connect to, also I connect thru multiple hosts (multiple RDP "hops") to some clients.

Project License Changed

Microsoft Public License (Ms-PL)

This license governs use of the accompanying software.
