For Subversion:
  • Simplify and automate the enumeration of which files are “versioned” within a project. Although this sounds simple, most Subversion users learn that accidentally including “extra” files in a project leads to major headaches. It is unwise to merely take “everything” in a folder.
For Tortoise:
  • Automate the encoding and decoding of source files triggered by events (aka hooks).
For Visual FoxPro:
  • Interact with Subversion directly from inside the Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
  • Fulfill all day-to-day interactions with Subversion via Toolbar and/or the VFP Main Menu.
  • Develop with VFP native language to allow developers to “add hooks” for their custom environment whenever needed.

How would this be different than something like Paul McNett's scX tool? http://paulmcnett.com/scX.php

I'm greatly interested in this as our company is in the process of moving to SVN and I maintain a large-ish VFP application. If you need crash test pilots contact me!

I'm pushing all my teammates to begin using VFP with SVN, that project would be great! I guess this project should be given more interest from all the VFP community.

I'm using SccTextX + PushOK SVNSCC + TortoiseSVN software to integrate VFP and SVN.
There are some bad things in standard VFP-source control integration, and I wrote some of them in the comments at SccTextX.
Do SubFox solve the problems I mentioned?

Was this project abandoned ?! :(

@Skysurfer...
I checked out Paul McNett's scX tool -- not too deep, maybe an hour or so -- it appears to be nothing more that a translator. Nothing wrong with that, but SubFox also includes a comprehensive translator, yet at 1529 lines of code it is only 4% of the source code. SubFox is MUCH more than that. These distinctions will emerge when the documentation starts coming out. Thanks for your interest in SubFox.
