Project Description
The Wiki Word Importer project is a set of utilities to:
Translate a Word document to the MediaWiki format, converting shapes and images, and automatically insert it into the MySQL database in one easy step.
Scan a directory and import multiple docs at once or wait for docs to be placed in a "drop location".
Import DOC, PPT, and VSD files.
Integrate with Sharepoint sites.
Create links between documents automatically based upon keywords.
The project is currently in a working Alpha state. All of the features listed above are functioning in some capacity. An example:
In addition, some MediaWiki add-on pages will soon be provided to simplify file uploads and to manage Sharepoint site integration. These pages are also in a working state but just need to be cleaned up before being added to this project.
